*NEW- COVID 19 CLOSURE PLAN

Nation Ford Falcons,

(3/23/2020)

*Course Verifications Update*

We understand that course verification sheets were originally due on Friday, March 20thThe new deadline is Wednesday, March 25th. We would like to outline the new plan below:

  1. If you have your student’s course verification sheet that was given to them at school, at home with you, please either scan and email it to your child’s counselor, or take a picture of the form and email it to your child’s counselor.

  2. If you do not have a copy of the verification sheet at home, please login to your child’s Power School account on the computer (not your mobile device) http://fortmill.powerschool.com/public and click on Class Registration in the left hand navigation menu, and you should be able to see the courses they requested originally. If you do not have access to Powerschool, please email your child’s counselor and ask for a copy of the requests you made.

The best method would be for you to print the 2020-2021 course requests for your child, strike-through the courses you would like to change and write in the courses you would like instead, then sign and date the bottom of the page. Finally, scan the courses or take a picture and attach it to an email and send to your child’s counselor. If you do not have an access, we will accept an email with the changes that you would like for next school year’s courses.

  3. Teacher signatures are no longer required. Students were able to visit their 1st semester teachers and get signatures prior to the school closure, but they will not have the opportunity to get 2nd semester signatures. If you have a particular concern or are having difficulty making a decision, you can email your child’s current teacher to ask their recommendation for the next course.

We are taking this day by day and will continue to provide updates as we have them. You should choose the courses for next semester as if they are final decisions. At this time we cannot guarantee that their will be another opportunity for course changes, please be mindful and methodical in the choices you make.
